Hybrid (2-3 days in the office per week)

Working in this role the successful applicant will support the design, and development of the MIDAS Mission Management system for the next generation of military platforms across Air, Land and Sea.
This will entail working within an Agile framework and utilising model based system engineering techniques to create the MIDAS product

As MIDAS Software Engineer, you will be responsible to the MIDAS Software Group Lead to support the development of Software Design, Code and Test required to support

- Management of tasks within the JIRA toolset
- Support the engineering planning activities
- Liaise with MIDAS Systems & Test Engineers
- Software Design (UML/Cameo)
- Software Code (C++)
- Software Test (Rapita/Understand)
- Safety & Security
- Supervision and support to junior team members.

Knowledge:
- Experience of integration within a delivery programme for Systems and Software
- a working knowledge of the Engineering Lifecycle and associated governance
- knowledge or awareness of Model Based Engineering tools (Cameo)
- Experience or awareness of Agile methodology supported by the Atlassian toolset would be advantageous.
- Previous Experience within the Mission management and Autonomy fields is advantageous
- Experience within software development using C++

- Software Coding (C++/Misra C++)
- System/Software Re-Use the candidate should be able to demonstrate
- Willingness to tackle difficult problems with a steep learning curve.

Qualifications:
-Degree-qualified (or equivalent) engineer in one of the STEM disciplines preferably with Systems and Software Engineering awareness.
