Project Support Officer - Infrastructure - Retail - Contract - Inside IR35 - Bradford - 6 months (Contract)
Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire Country: UK Rate: £215 per day Inside IR35
We are currently working with a large retail organisation based in Bradford. They are currently embarking on a network transformation will deliver a capacity increase of ten times to their stores and sites, in addition to providing a reliable back up circuit should there be any circuit breaks.
They will also deliver new WAN links to all their estate, building the foundations for future digitisation in this estate.
This expansion will allow them to increase the capacity of the customer and colleague Wi-Fi.
The network consists of two main elements,
Wide Area Network (WAN) - this is the connectivity to the sites.
Local Area Network (LAN) - this is the connectivity within a site eg the Switches and the Wi-Fi network.
Project Coordinator resources are required to support the delivery of the two main WAN workstreams for all stores and sites (split North & South)
You will deliver project support across a programme of work to replace the existing WAN connections (primary & backup) to all the Stores, Sites and Convenience shops, ensuring target benefits are realised, maintaining the integrity of quality, speed, and cost by adhering to Enterprise PMO governance. The role requires the individual to work with the new network provider and they will be responsible for supporting Programme/Project manager(s) with provision of project schedule reports, updating risk & issues, managing milestones, and supporting planning. They will be liaising with Stores and Sites, providing clear communication details, arranging appointments, updating schedules, validating delivery, raising change requests and contacting stores and sites as required to support the changes.
Essential experience
- Experience of working in a formal project team with knowledge of a methodology
- Be well Organised and structured in approach.
- Good spreadsheet skills (Google sheets preferred)
- Have a can-do attitude to support the team.
- Able to update plans to measure progress.
- Able to produce project reporting to provide updates to stakeholder.
- Record benefits and manage measurements of them.
- Record and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Maintain repository of project information
- Provide project reporting information.
- Provide project reporting in accordance with PMO guidance.
- Liaise with Stores/Sites to agree schedules.
- Great Communicator and establish good relationships with stakeholders.
- Manage changes requests in a controlled environment
- Worked in a project/programme environment.
- Worked in a retail environment or worked on delivery of Network/Hardware upgrade/refreshes across multiple sites.
Please note this role is Inside IR35 and will require you to be onsite 2 days a week in Bradford.
